About Us
Born from a passion for delivering high-quality engineering design services, Tim founded White Horse CAD in 2017.
White Horse CAD was born from a passion for delivering high-quality design services to various industries. The company was formed in 2017 by owner Tim Bird, following his successful engineering career. White Horse CAD’s vision continues to be the South West’s Go-To Contract CAD and mechanical design service.
Tim’s engineering career began in the mid-80s as a sheet metal worker before becoming a toolmaker. He then progressed to a Senior Manufacturing Design Engineer for Finsbury Orthopaedics, one of the UK’s largest independently owned Orthopaedic Device companies.
Following this role, Tim joined Aurora Medical as Senior Design Engineer. Here he continued to develop Orthopaedic devices for global clients. Throughout his career, Tim has used AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design products. His experience, knowledge, problem-solving ability and quality of work continue to be at the forefront of White Horse CAD.
White Horse CAD prides itself on providing a full suite of services in-house. This gives our clients consistency and confidence in our ability in everything we do, from developing initial concepts to market-ready products.
We have an office on the lovely grounds of Heywood House, Wiltshire. However, our client base is UK-wide, and regardless of location, we provide cost-effective, innovative design solutions.
